Wandering Thoughts
October 17, 2026
As many know, I am in the final course of my Masters of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Enterprise Technology Management. The class ends on 29 November 2026, and it will be a bittersweet ending.
I began my journey with SNHU at the start of January of 2022, and my MS IT will be conferred in early January 2027, meaning it will be almost full circle when the degree is conferred.
I have had many great instructors over the last almost 5 years, and a few that I will not mention. The Instructors I would like to thank for pushing me, for challenging me, for allowing me to challenge them, are:
David Taglieri from IT212
Roy Carr from IT140
Farooq Afzal from IT272
Benita Hubbard from IT260
Stephanie Macuga from IT304
Rupen Shah from IT337
Robert Rupocinski from IT313
Matthew Brown from IT409
Patrick Valentia from IT253
Michelle Speicher from BUS210
Charles Brust from IT482
Rohan Roberts from IT423
Daniel Martin from IT226
Naim Syed from IT515
Nicholas Cain from IT510
Vincent Tran from IT511
Eva Hamburger from IT520
Raymond Curts from IT550
Jon McKeeby from IT650
William McConnell from IT625
Mary McDonald from IT647 and IT648
Mark Cohen from IT659
Benjamin Perez from IT657
and lastly, Douglass Smith from IT700.
I have become melancholy over the culmination of my educational journey, because I am not sure that I will know what to do with myself once there are no constant homework assignments. It feels almost like reading the final chapter and sentence of your favorite book, but then you can never read the book again, because now you know what that final chapter has cost you in time and effort.
It's bittersweet, but it's also growth and evolution; it's a caterpillar turning into a crysalis, then evolving into a butterfly. It's the long winter finally giving way to spring and a long winter night that has fiinally allowed the sun to rise at dawn.
Again, it's a bittersweet melancholy that I find myself in, and while I don't want it to end, I know it must, and that I must begin a new chapter in life, and that chapter will start a new book on life....I am scared, but I look forward to where this new chapter will lead....
